Time to sleep...

2am today.

2am?  It gets more crazy. Why don't I sleep?  Excitement?  Just don't need it?  Hmm, not sure I can say the latter as I haven't been feeling so well of late.  The crohns is nudging me to remind me it's still lurking.
"Don't take me for granted." It calls.  I know, I hear you.

We are friends now, me and Crohns. It's part of my life. A part I know I don't have to give too much attention to as I read the newest book in my library, "You are the placebo."
Yet, as I try hard to gain control of my tummy issues recently, I nervously pack for holiday.

Needing lots of care and attention to what I might take for appropriateness, I curse myself as once again I failed to take care of myself as much as I had promised this past week.

"Get to the gym." I ordered.
"Use the sunbed." I decided.  Making myself look more healthy generally helps with the mindset of feeling like I am healthy.  Still, fatigue took over and made me a spoonie once again.
Intending to walk at as much speed as my tired legs will carry me, I'll help those cells get the oxygen they need from the sea air as I take to my holidays.

Knowing this might be the first one in a long time (or should that be last one?) I pack armed with books and kindle and all things to help me relax.

The stress of university exams has hardly seemed worth it to be honest.  The stress it has taken on my body is a hefty price to pay. Trying on the new clothes I bought for holiday I hardly recognised the woman staring back at me in the mirror.  Who is she?  My mum?
Aging and losing the body that I would now love to have (wishing I had realised that way back when I looked more healthy than this) I am convinced I can get back to the place I was 3 years ago when my body was feeling better than now.
Surely hard work and paying attention to health can get those muscle tones back again.  'They' keep telling me in the medical world I need to take this and that, have this medication, this procedure, give up on the hard working life I lead.  Yet surely I could take a different approach and slowly get those fitness levels back again.

Not sleeping doesn't help.  Gladly, I gave up my room when mum came to live with us.  Yet I know it is taking its toll on my health.  We need to create more space.  Yet for the next 15 nights (would you include tonight still, although the dawn chorus is beginning?) I have a bed, some space to walk around naked,  which in turn means I can moisturise to my hearts content.  Well, who likes to do that then get dressed?  Be honest.  Ewww.

Holiday mode.  I feel blessed and lucky.  I have lots to read.  Lots to fill my mind with self help.  Cringe if you must but it makes me feel positive and bright for the future.

Knowing I have time to delete the 11,000 emails that have accumulated in my inbox while writing blogs and editing videos for the next couple of weeks, I know I am fuelling my passion.  The visitors to this blog have shown me with their feet they are out there. In turn the universe allows me to believe this can of course be the full time gig.  I LOVE it.  Thank you for reading! And subscribing to my youtube

Holiday time.  Here I sit at crazy o'clock and write.  After a particularly strange meal at dinner last night (I expected too much from Thyme at the Premier inn) I'm feeling a little the worse for wear.  Heading off to an all inclusive resort for our holiday,  I know I will have to use restraint and make careful food choices around my crohns.  Often limited, I must avoid the french fries.  They are way too 'carby' for me! Sometimes, the brits complain on trip advisor that it was the fries that saved them from starvation.  Hmm, lets see what we can do! Watch this space to follow our journey!

Much love, as always

So the time has come to go public...

The time has come to go public...

After asking the question on my Facebook group A Lusher Life, I have listened to the responses with anxious happiness and decided that I need to stand proud of the fact that I am in fact a BLOGGER!
As well as all this, I am forever creating movies to share with the world on my Youtube Channels, both personal VLOGGING and my nutrition channel.

Why?

And why didn't I share this sooner?

Let's answer the last question first. I didn't share it for fear of unfriendly judgement. Yet I should know better at my age, with my life experience, as friends tell me to ignore those.
"You'll never please all of the people all of the time."
True.  If those people all knew my reason why, surely they would be kinder.  I'll tell you my Why in a sec.

Why have I chosen to share so much so publicly?  Great question.  It began back in 2009 with me hearing about the Law of Attraction, The Secret, Abraham Hicks and postivity.  To me, this was all new news.
"Why doesn't everyone know life is meant to be amazing?" I asked myself.
Turns out, lots of people Do know this stuff.  Yet, I still continue to remind others as I continue my learning around the subject too.

Bring this all forward to the here and now, today.

You may know, you may not, there is a list of health issues I often find a struggle.  Thinking about listing these as bullet points here may induce disbelief and possibly an air of sympathy which is definitely not what this post is about.  This post is about having these 'issues' and carrying on regardless.  So for me, a regular job is difficult, near on impossible.  Asking too much these days for employers to be sympathetic and patient when results are achieved or not.
So in a passionate mindset of positivity, I am determined to honour the work ethic I have been raised to carry.  Despite illness, disease and hearing impairment (let's not go too far down the route of what's wrong although it's the biggest WHY) I want to continue to work. Should the health stuff become an issue and I can't hear anymore, leave the house or simply need to take to my bed randomly, I have this dream and notion that I can do all this from home.
Possible right? Many folks are doing this! Why not me?

Spending the past 7 years researching, learning and finding a craft which I love and adore, I am now ready.  Judgements be gone.  I'm ready to embrace life and work in the field I love (helping others) from home using both blogs like this and my love for creating films to add to Youtube.  My aim and my dream is to share my knowledge and a bit about life too as I pop health tips and even some meditation links as I find them.

Unsure if this makes any sense,  I ask you to support me.

My aim is to share these writings and videos as far and wide as I can.  In the hope they will help others as well as the hope that the tiny affiliate links I share help create an income from the blogs.  Should you find you wish to subscribe for more or share my links, please do. I would be eternally grateful.

Below, is a chance to leave comments.  Let me know what you would like to see here.  We can do some regular Q and A sessions too.  Ask away.  My door is open.

Much love, as always,

Louise xoxo

Costa v Starbucks

I never was a fan of Starbucks.  Has this changed?

Read on...

On a TV show they showed a poll of who would possibly be a fan of costa, starbucks and cafe nero.  No shocks there.  I was in the Costa bracket, Scott in the cafe nero and my teenage twins in Starbucks!

Don't get me wrong, Costa still do the best Hot chocolates with REAL cream....but there is an unwelcome feeling for those laptop warriors like me.  Yet here I sit, happy to blog in my local Starbucks which is clean, quiet and in plenty supply of electric plug sockets!

So what about the coffee?  Does that really matter?  To me, it all tastes quite similar so long as the strength is the same.  Costa sometimes serve a little warm milk with a dash of the brown stuff in it these days.  Perhaps I just got used to starbucks stronger flavour (2 shots as standard I feel) as they serve this in our university coffee shop.  Thank goodness.  Helps with the Zzzzzz's.

More often than not, for most of us it isn't always about the coffee or whatever your tipple is.  The experience ranks so super highly with our reasoning for our return business.
Back in the day when I was training as a hospitality manager, we were advised that most of the venues I was managing would be frequented by couples.  Yet it would be the female of the party who decided on this place.  Hence, if the ladies toilets were not as nice as pie,  then you had blown it as a manager!

Well done both Costa and Starbucks.  I love both.  Life without the coffee shops is, for me, quite a dark place!!!

Much love

Louise xoxo

Spreading yourself too thin?

We have all done it at times.

I'm as guilty as the next person.  Yes, we spread ourselves too thin.  What happens from there is this:

*You feel stressed.
*You realise you aren't achieving your goals.
*You get frustrated with yourself.
*You wonder if you are actually as good at this stuff as you want to be.

So, how can you make it easier?

*You could sleep less....well, maybe not less but for some, getting up an hour earlier (while the house is still quiet) can help you achieve more.
*You could use apps for your social media (try hoot suite) and you can put all your posts in at once and schedule them for timed release.
*How about employing a helper? Even if it's your teenagers to do the washing up.
*A PA would be even better!
*Someone on an apprenticeship can be great value and you're helping someone get on their career ladder.
Or this one is golden:
*You can use google analytics to see where you could change things!

As an example, we hear so much from the gurus on how to niche down our subject areas. This isn't wrong. However, imagine if your audience were interested in you regardless of what you post/write/video.

Think about yourself as an audience member. Think about someone who you follow. If you subscribe to them on YouTube because they post great videos about bodybuilding, imagine if they posted a video from their holiday in California! How would that make you feel?
Interested in them sharing?
Irritated to the degree you unsubscribe? Or would you simply skip any content that doesn't interest you?

I would skip. But then, I'm very nosey so would likely watch it!
So, for me, a great way is to ask your audience. Google analytics tells me this blog has a higher % of men readers. This surprised me. Hi guys. Hi ladies too. Now, I feel inclined to share my hairdressing and beauty tips, as well as law of attraction, photos and nutrition (cooking too). Previously, I've felt compelled to separate all this up.

Then I just log in to find I've neglected this blog in favour of my nutrition blog. Instead, how would you guys like to see me post the nutrition stuff here too?
If you aren't interested, skip it.
This blog has been going quite some time and has a big audience every day. Makes sense to nurture this blog.

It's just me. Talking about my interests.

Let me know what you think.
To grow your own blog you can advertise here too! See the sponsorship page.

Next up, I'll tell you about my activity week in Scotland!

Much love

Louise xoxo

Blogging-what should you write?

So what should you write in a blog?

For me, my favourite thing is sharing photos and thoughts. Random thoughts. This is because this is what I love to read in other blogs.

Sometimes, I find I mentally write, wherever I am! Maybe at the gym, right now, on a train. A man sitting next to me clearly coming over into my space. His perfectly blue pinstripe suit, the type of newspaper and fact that his age is talking to me, suggests a gentleman in a high power position. Does this give him the right to squash me against the window? No. Doubtless, he's a bully at work. I might just have to open and eat my cheese and onion crisps ;)

Now I feel a blog should be whatever fires your spirit up. Me, it's writing and sharing photos. You guys seem to love my law of attraction stuff.
Google analytics tells me that most of my audience are fellas (hi guys) which surprised me a little. I love to know what you like to see.

I've other blogs too where I share different subjects of mine.
I've a nutrition blog, a photography blog and some other professional stuff (coaching) yet I'm tempted to share the nutrition on here and the photography.

I'd love your comments on what you like to see. Email me.

So for you, if you are a blogger what inspires you? If you would like to start a blog-go for it!
If you are shy you don't need to add your name. Anonomous is fine! Will just take longer to build your audience without sharing to social media. Then, blogs like mine also offer very low cost ($5 per month) adverts on the blog. So you can gain momentum quickly.

Meanwhile, I'll share a random photo for you and wish you a wonderful day.

Much love

I need your help please - a new blog?

Hi there to all the lovely folks reading this blog.

Could you kindly help me with a comment below?  You see, if you follow this blog avidly, you will know that I am pretty soon off to University to venture into the world of Dietetics.
If that sounds like a foreign word to you,  it's all about Nutrition and at the end of it (after successfully graduating and registering) I will be able to practise as a Registered Dietitian.

Looking on the internet,  there are many blogs about cooking,  health,  weight loss etc but for the budding dietitian like me,  there really aren't so many student blogs.

So I would love to share my experiences on the blog platform as always.  Yet I'm unsure as to if I should use this pretty popular blog or start a totally new one.

I'd love your opinions on this.  Of course it will sometimes be technical stuff but often written with the reader in mind and more about the life experience within the Uni.  Which kind of fits into this Law of Attraction/lifestyle blog.

Please take a few minutes to leave me a comment below and I will keep you posted in return.  I will either share a new website and blog with you,  or I will let you know on here where I will place it within this website.

Thanks guys,  you're so awesome.

Much love

Being a busy blogger

Hi folks, how are all of you doing?

You see this photo I took when I was out at the shops a couple of months ago with my daughter?  How cool.  Just shows how far blogging has come these days.

Using blogger as a platform is a no brainer for me.  For this type of blog at least.  I find that there is a real sense of community within the Blogger network and I think the blogs looks so pretty.

When I was researching exaclty how to blog (all those years ago now!) I was thrilled to find that you must go with Wordpress to be able to make a living from your blog.  Not so.  Just yesterday while watching the local South East news, my lovely Jasmine and I were excited and delighted to see our lovely Zoella on the TV actually speaking about blog and vlog (using Blogger and Youtube - both 'free' platforms).  She is working full time and making a lovely living that most people of her age could only dream of.
Not that this comes easy.  Using blogs and vlogs to make a living takes dedication and effort and I take my hat off to those who do it full time.  Although I'm so sure there are so many rewarding aspects of the job too.

Did you ever think about starting a blog? Any idea what you might want to write about?  Start by making a bit of a plan then get out and get writing.  If you were concerned about your blog-making web designing skills then don't be.  The blogger platform is more than easy to navigate around.

Dream it big.  Then take action.  You can do it!

Much love

Hot cross buns and poorly babies

There are times when only chicken soup will do it.

Other times, a hot cross bun with butter is just lovely.  Not for me of course, Miss Coeliac... But for my poorly twins.
They have a flu type of thing and have to stay off school today.

While this is not great news for schooling, it's pretty good for me!

I've been able to do a couple of clients work this morning and for the afternoon get my blogs and newsletters up to date! You might notice on the right hand of the screen you can now sign up for my Law of Attraction/self help/ positivity emails (please support me).

The other great news is I've started working on a revision for my LOA book which will be published on smashwords!
I'm close to finishing my next book and closer than I was to finishing my IVF story too!

I've at least 3 more manuscripts half baked in my head but one step at a time.

Poorly teenagers, iPads, hot cross buns.
Mummy writing her passions!

How was your day?

What do people expect from blogs these days?

Hey everyone

As the title suggests, there is lots of conflicting advice out there these days regarding blogging.

Folks are telling us that the traditional type of blog which is almost like an online diary of our lives is going a little out of fashion.  I'm not sure I agree.  I read lots of blogs which are of great interest to me.  Although,  occasionally, it can just take one comment that is off your scale for you to switch off.

Example:

A lovely lady who's blogs I was enjoying got a little high on her horse.  She devoted an entire blog to complaining about how it was such a chore to keep writing as she had sponsored blog posts to write and an audience waiting in anticipation.  Goodness me!

Doesn't she realise that many of her readers would give their right arm to be paid to blog?

It made  me think in typical human fashion "What a moaner...."  and I haven't been back to read since.  These types of blogs are very much tailored to a reading fan base.

However, more recently it seems that blogs with a typical subject will hold readers for far longer.

I write for another blog http://www.salon-coach.blogspot.com which, as the title suggests is coaching for salon people.  Without much promotion, this blog is getting  picked up lots by the google robots as people are typing in certain search terms.  Obviously,  if they decide they would like to learn more, they will subscribe.  Lovely.

So what's your take on it?  Why do you blog?

For yourself?  For your audience?  Do you have an audience?  Many blogs can get thousands of visits a day!

Another subject for another time is:  Which sites do you find are best to host on?  Self hosted or free ones like these?

Until then,

Louise xoxoxo

Things are changing around here

So guys, you might have guessed from the title,  things are going to be changing around here.

All for  the better.  Did you read my blog I Quit!?

Today,  while taking a lie in,  I decided to put together the sweetest 30 second video for my Youtube channel to celebrate the changes.  There will be more once I have done my hair and make up but you get the drift?  Hope you enjoy it.

Sending much love

This lady helped my grow my blog - For FREE

Hello!

Ok, so we all want our blogging to be successful.  I'm not sure how I stumbled upon this lady but she really made me sit up and listen.  She has created some so sweet ebooks for free that can give you an idea on how to start making money online or even iron out what you might be doing wrong.
You can get this free ebook here and I wanted to share with you as you will love it too.  It's pretty and full of sweet artwork :O)
Click here for the link: Biz blogstar
After that,  you will be excited to know more: here it is:
I just wanted to make sure you’d heard about this – I think you will really, really love it + be a great fit for it.
Leonie Dawson has created something that’s changing the lives and businesses of SO many women around the world in a way that’s never been seen before.
I think it’s so exciting + amazing what she’s put together – it’s just SO much more heart-centered, wildly generous + hugely affordable than ANYTHING that’s out there in the world.
The Amazing Biz and Life Academy gives you over $3800 (!!!!) of her business and marketing programs to create a powerful and profitable business, zen-your-mind meditations, creativity, spirituality, home and health e-courses to help you live your best life yet. It’s really the complete toolkit!
See the link!

And it’s just SO crazy affordable – this woman has really set out to make it as doable for EVERY WOMAN who needs her work as possible. Only $497 for EVERYTHING she gives you… and even offers a generous payment plan!

PLUS, Leonie is a woman who really walks her talk – she’s managed to create a half million dollar a year company in a few hours a day that helps SO many people, and lets her really live her soul purpose. AND she’s a philanthropist – she donates to and supports a huge range of charities – she is even in the top 1% of Kiva lenders! She really is a goddess of abundance, creativity + joy!

Want to know more? Click here
I love how openly she teaches – if you know Leonie’s work, you’ll know she is SUCH an open book, so honest, vulnerable, heart-felt and true compared to so many other teachers out there!
There’s some pretty amazing success stories of women who’ve already received a HUGE amount of transformation in their lives and businesses from the Academy… go check them out and prepare to be inspired!!!

I’m just so in awe of what she’s created… and I know you’re going to really love it too!
Louise x
P.S. As always, I reckon one of the best ways you can make your dreams come true is invest in education and learning from someone who’s done what you want to do. Leonie is one of those rare teachers who can show you the way – and do it in a completely heart-centered, open-book, massively helpful kind of way.
This lady really is such an inspiration to me - hope she is to you too

Please support my blog by sharing these affiliate links.  Leonie really has inspired me to go for it and I love to share the free stuff as well as the paid for courses as they are such brilliant value

Are your dreams coming true or are you stuck?

Are you stuck or are your dreams coming true?

Interesting post coming up straight from my heart today!

Sitting at my desk today I'm going to be totally honest with you.  I love days like this.  I could write all day long.  I love it!

I love it!

I love it!

However,  (you knew that was coming didn't you!) I have spent a lot of time surfing the net on what to do with it.  Are you the same?  Spending time trying to figure everything out on what to do and how to do it well?

I'm very proud of myself and how I naturally help others with ease getting into their own head and sorting out their dreams.  Frequently I run this type of practice for business owners and for people and their personal lives too.  Also,  many friends send a simple text

Got time for a cuppa this week?

I know that means they want uplifting.  Or telling "You can do it! Go for it!" and we sit and work out an action plan or strategy on how to move forward.

Yet when it comes to me,  I have so many different subjects I love to talk about and I'm very seriously considering writing several different blogs covering the various subjects.

What do you think ?

This blog you are reading now is about my journey through life and about creating a Lusher Life.  Now,  this is my favourite really.  I get to open up and spill out everything that's inside.

Doing it often enough may begin to generate the kind of audience I would like but I'm not convinced.  You know how certain youTube folks have a channel for Vlogs and one for product reviews and such? Like my favourites Zoella and Sprinkle of Glitter even though the lovely lovely lovely Louise of Sprinkle of glitter often mentions stuff about being too old for this (she's 25) and should she really watch One Direction as she has a baby (!) bless her.  25 is still a baby herself.  She's just adorable and opening up lives like that is very scary I know and people can be mean sometimes.  Ignoring them is hard.  However,  these ladies are now doing very nicely with their blogging and Vlogging.

As for me,  I love to teach and pass on info too.  I feel to do that on this blog may be misplaced.  I see no reason why I couldn't use the Lusher Life base and add on /photography
/weddings
/weight loss
/Hair and Beauty
/dream building (that's kind of this one really)

I've lots of experience at all these subjects and although they do all tie into Law of Attraction (coaching package here) I'd love to also help people who just want to know about hair or make up or nails or weddings etc without all the blurb on creating your own reality.   Not everyone believes that stuff and although they should,  it can become annoying!

So please tell me what you think?

I'll be posting a blog on how to help you get unstuck if you are stuck so please click to follow this blog via email and I'd love to know what questions you have too.

Big PS - in this photo I'm reading a book by the lovely Lilou Mace who is stunning and also very sweet and lovely.  She interviews the many positivity gurus on her Youtube pages.  You can buy this book of hers here I lost my job and I liked it

Of course,  my little mini book will help you on the start of your new life journey.  I'd love you to support me by sharing this link for me - thank you so much I love you x

What the heck is going on?!

Ok, here I am again at last!

Apologies for being AWOL for so long.  I have great reasons which I really don't want to go into at great length here just now.  Although,  if you see my Bio has had a big change and now I'm a single girl.  A big shock to many including myself!
So, a slight change of jewellery and here's off to a great new base for a new novel.

Needless to say, life has been crazy chaotic.  Although I'm on the up in a big way.  Honestly,  I feel when people have a bit of a 'crisis' (you might call it) they either fix themselves by crying lots,  sleeping for ages and feeling really sad - getting lots of lovely cuddles from loved ones - or,  like me,  really grab life by the wotsits and decide to use it as a positive change.

Sounds perfect eh?

Well yes, of course it would sound perfect.  This is me,  Mrs positive,  Mrs Lusher Life.  Agreed,  I really do love to make my Lusher Life and when things are taking a downturn I do realise that it's all part of life.

It's a journey isn't it!

It's important to realise we are human.  So while I'm recovering,  my body is taking a little bit of a bashing as my stress can go inward.

Now, with the Law of Attraction in mind,  we create our reality with our thoughts.  I'm thinking that my life needs x, y, z right now and by agreeing to these things I feel better.

For instance,  (as i know that was hard to grasp)  To feel in control,  I need to realise the control is in my hands!

So what will I do with my new found freedom?  Well that's up to me but creating a Lusher Life is what I'm all about so everything I do must be moving forwards in that direction.

Realising this sad story had a sad ending has just given me the 100% clarity that I really need to write this as a story in a book which is of course my passion.  I love writing and more and more it is starting to become a reality that I can make it happen.
She says as she twins screens at the new desk which is located next to the radiator!

Meanwhile,  I'm off to write some blogs on my very exciting Salon Blog which you can find here.

I will,  I promise,  knuckle down to getting these 2 books finished that I keep luring you in with.  I'm ready for lots of hard work and getting this blog 'up there' is going to be awesome.

Much love to you all.....watching your news too

How much? This blog has earned me............

Have a guess?

Do you blog???

Is it a blog from which you hope to make a profit? Although it might be for fun,  or to publish your journals or whatever your platform - do you hope to make a little money from it?

Me too!!

Well.......

I have been on the internet since 1998.  I think that's around about the time that chat rooms first opened.  You would go into the room and say:

"Hi room."

Haha how far we have come.  Now, fast forward until today.  August 2nd 2013.  My blogger blog has been going some years but only in the past 2-3 months have I started blogging more regularly.

Also,  I've uploaded lots more to Youtube and my writing platform is taking on a new direction.  I really felt that I would expand my audience for my books by blogging more effectively.

Never did I expect to read so many amazing stories from such inspiring women.

Never did I expect to open up so honestly in a way that didn't even frighten me.

Never did I expect to be adding affiliate links to my blogs and adwords to generate an income.

Lucky me,  I have so far over my entire time on the internet managed to earn $2.07.

Oh my goodness.  Now as I'm not in any sponsorship deals right now which leaves me unable to declare how much I earn.   Therefore I have told you.  When you search the web for:

"How much money I can make blogging"
or
"How to earn money blogging"

You find lots of links to partnership sites.  Maybe I'm missing a trick here.  The main thing is:

I'm doing something I love.

My readership is growing.

I am making some awesome friends.

Thank you folks,  for welcoming me into your community.  If you feel a need to share my blog to help me towards my dream of full time writer,  part time coach then that would be fantastic.

Right now I'm full time coach, part time writer which I still love but at times need my job to be based from my laptop.

Also if you click this sponsorship link you will see I'm inviting some lovely blogs in my sidebar for like,  really cheap.  My views are growing and growing and I'm excited for the future.

Thank you once again for helping me towards my dreams

Much love x
