Lost your muse?

For the first time ever I lost my muse.  Prose?  Words?  Writers block?

Never did I understand this previously.

I mean, I have all these books over on amazon

When I heard of writers 'finding' writers block I would frown with a big cartoon question mark above my head.  How can this be?  I would wonder.

Yet, now I have found myself with the same question mark for a different reason.

Been struggling.
Is this you too?  Can you relate?

Over the summer break from university I have been cramming in way too much work in the way of

* Home improvements
* Educational courses
* Working on my online business
* Giving the children a great summer
* Getting my health on track

It's just too much.  Who could focus on more than one of these at a time?

Yet I'm super thrilled to see my blog going from strength the strength.  I love it!!! It's where I desire to be in the future.  So I must get past this block.  I've a few ideas.  Here comes the reason I'm struggling.

One of the educational courses I am taking is a blogger course.  Now, IT is Brilliant (yes that capital B is supposed to be there!).  Yet it's pretty tough too.  Showing me how to turn this passion into my business.
(If you don't know, I have some health issues which means blogging suits my future perfectly and allows me to continue to work.)
Most of what I write is rather rambly about life stuff and how to change life for the better.

I'm passionate about this.  My 'about' page on this blog is soon set to change.  I want to tell you guys my reason WHY I started my business A Lusher Life and why I am super charged to help those I can reach.  This must mean that on occasions I will be writing posts that may not have an affiliate link in them or are simply purely for the sake of brain dumping.  That's just how I roll.  It's what feels right to me.  Build it and they will come.

Meanwhile, this blog will have slight changes made to it over time and you can see changes for the better.  To make 'stuff' tidy and neat.  Yet it will still be all me.  Just heading in a direction to create a sustainable business for me and my family.  In my next post I will share with you why I feel being a mum to teenagers is likely harder than raising babies.

Until then, if you are a blogger keen to begin using your passion as more than a hobby blogger, I would recommend looking at the course I am on.  The lady who is the owner of the business knows so so much.  From starting on pintrest, to monitizing your blog. See her website here

Back to A Lusher Life.  There really are so many amazing opportunities for simply everyone these days.  I have seen people create blogs who disregard the SPAG they teach in school (spelling, punctuation and grammar) who have a great following.  What's stopping you from giving this a go?  Let me know if it is something you would like to hear more about and I will let you know how you can make your dream a reality.  This blog is all still about that.  Especially if you have limiting beliefs.  More on that another time.

Meanwhile, a picture of my coffee.

Ok....

You got me....

This is not my coffee I sit with today as today is just about me grabbing an hour to myself to connect with my beloved blog and find my voice once again.  I adore writing.  I just feel I have listened too much to those inner voices who say "Write about something of value, something you know about, like science..." and yes, there is a place for science EVERYWHERE, including this blog (the science of the law of attraction) as well as my other blogs.  Yet I want to simply tell you, right here, right now, that you are more than amazing.  Have some belief that you can do all the things you want to do!

Much love

Louise xoxo

I'm changing things with blogging - you can too!

Do you want to change things with blogging?

I've already wished you all a happy new year.  But how is your 2016 going so far?  Do you have a feeling this year will be all you wished for?

If not, why not?

Likelihood is,  you aren't taking the action steps needed to get into the flow and create the belief that you need and want to make your 'dreams come true.'

You know me.  For years now I have been learning little nuggets of information:
* Being blown away with the information

* Deciding to store that knowledge away in my headspace

* Share it here with you guys

* Little by little allowing it to change my beliefs.

The Law of Attraction is a funny ol' thing.  It's almost like a staircase.  You go up the first step and then onto the next.  The book "The Secret" may have you believing you just 'jump' straight to the top.  Yet I know through experience that it definitely is a journey.  And this is the great part!

Initial euphoria of thinking 'wow I can do anything' has settled down (taking a few years though) and now I am left with the true inner peace and knowing that all I have learnt these past few years have brought me to this place of finally believing.

Suddenly I can see people all around me doing what I would love to be doing as my living.  People who are making a difference and making a living doing it.  You've heard this so many times through loads of 'woo woo' stuff and even subscribed to the newsletters.  Yes, me too.  This is definitely not a criticism.

Yet the 'click' or the Aha moment as Oprah calls it has happened for me very recently.

How? What happened?

I found a group of like minded people quite by accident and I listened to what they were speaking about.  They had a mentor who was talking basic lingo.  Giving them practical steps to take.  Leading them to a place that with hard work and dedication they could too make their living making a difference.
No mention of meditation or visualisation (I DO still believe in all that, totally).  This was refreshing.

I naturally visualise and meditate every day now.  Perhaps we have to learn that first before we can take action on those steps.  Now, don't get me wrong, I thought I was taking action.  But it wasn't with that determined 'knowing' that Tony Robbins speaks of.

So what changed?  I joined a FREE Facebook group full of like minded people who were showing me what they were doing.  None of them bragged, or talked figures, yet I could tell by the interest they were getting in their blogs that they were where I want to be in three years time.
From there, I learnt lots.  Then I decided to invest in myself.
Already, I have learnt so much more about Keywords, driving traffic, using social media (and I thought I already knew a lot).  I'd realised that now is the time to make this investment in myself and my future business.

Skyrocketing at a speed I could never have achieved without this new knowledge, I'm thrilled and excited for the future.

Why do I want this?  Please subscribe to my blog to find out my story next time and why I HAVE to make it work.  Without question.

Wishing you much love as you head into your dream year of 2016.

Louise xoxo

Wordpress or blogger - which do you prefer?

There is a very popular google search term:

"How to make money blogging."

Have you ever googled it?  Well,  I have and I'm here to give you a heads up.  Most of the 'experts' on this subject who have successfully began to make money online always pretty much advise against using free hosted sites like this one,  blogger.com

Of course, it totally depends on what you wish to use your blog for.  If you are really going into a business which needs to look,  feel and speak like a business then you might well not want to use a blogger website.

Why is it advised against?

The main reasons that the advisors say not to use a free hosted website is because you are not in control of the website and if you break any rules,  your site can be pulled down instantly and you will lose your hard work,  your subscribers and all.

Another reason is because they say you cannot make any money on the free sites as they will not allow it and will pull your site down.  Wordpress.com (the free version of wordpress-)  (NB: that confused me for ages and it seems even some web designers don't know the difference but wordpress.org is a place you can download templates but need to pay for hosting or web space in the air!) are pretty strict about this.  However,  if within blogger you are more of a blogger than a business and just add occasional affiliate links (so long as you disclose that they are affiliate links) then you can,  in fact pop the odd ad on there.

Google is now the owner of blogger.com which I feel has changed things massively.  You can easily place a link to your google adsense account.  This means that you link your blogger account up and the hosts will make some money from your blog by placing ads on there and you also get a little bit too.

Will you wake up a dot com millionaire after your first post?

Unlikely, my friend.  Yet if you are consistent with your posts and keep learning all of the time you can very much end up making something for your time and effort.  Of course you can generate your blog as a way to link onto many other of your social media sites and even get yourself a shop going where you can make some lovely money.

Using Youtube will help too.  All of the Google family are just lovely to me.  I've had huge success on Google+ at growing my online audience and as such it makes me feel much more comfortable posting onto Google+ as opposed to facebook where all my family and friends can see what I'm up to!

Writing this little mini blog today has made me realise just how much I have learnt through using the google search terms,  watching Youtube and reading other peoples blogs.  I will write again soon with "How to make money from your blog." which has been written many times but mostly for folks who want to make serious money from their blog.
The way I'm doing it is likely to be far more real than the majority.  In other words,  if you use blogger.com to build your blog/website (which is very easy to do) and want to post photos and stories of where you've been, what you are up to or the latest make up you have bought then blogger will be just fine for you.  You might make a few pounds doing it and you will love that too.  But it will likely be a few pounds.  What Blogger can give you is a platform,  this is a way to get known to your online audience and take you on to bigger things.

Wishing you lots of luck,  feel free to ask me any questions below and I will add them into my other blogs where we will give you some pointers.

You can do it! You know it.

There is help out there! Keep looking for it!

Also,  I have promised before and I will go ahead and set up a whole new page for the anonomous blogger really soon so if you have stuff you want to put out there but don't want it on your blog,  email to me your blog post and I will add it to my new blog website! Simple (I may edit grammar)...

Sending much love as always for you
