Getting paid to lose weight! Love it

So guys, I just found this amazing tool for weight loss. Starting mid july, I am going on a health kick and pledge to lose 4% of my bodyweight in 4 weeks. Easy, about 6lb for me (different for everyone!)
Then you get back your pledge money plus a share of the pot! getting paid to lose weight sounds good to me.

I am determined as whatnots to get my bikini body back before a big event in November and it starts in three weeks time!

I will post a youtube video about this but meanwhile, see the link below for more information.

Email me if you have any questions!

Slimming world weigh in results | week 1

Oh Gosh!!!

Now this was a fantastic start.  I wasn't expecting this.

I lost 7lbs! In my first week.  I had been really, really, really strict.  I loved this feeling.  I am feeling happier, healthier and just generally great!

Do I like slimming world?

The plan, yes, I find it is very encouraging of a healthier lifestyle.  More so than Weight watchers. Although I must say, there is still more talk than I would like about what food you can buy in Iceland.  Maybe that's simply the nutritionist in me!

Although in the group all we seem to do is go round and round discussing everyones weight gains or losses.  I would rather get tips for sticking to the plan and a little more motivation.

The group is super friendly which is amazing and super awesome! I'm also impressed with the consultant who leads it up too.

Make sure you follow this blog (in the box on the right hand side) or you can come over and like my Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/louiseushercoach to follow my progress.  Let me tell you, week two is one blog post you will not want to miss!

Much love

I joined slimming world!

Yes you heard it right.  This nutritionist joined slimming world.

Why?  Well, I've let things slip.  Stopped paying attention, we all do that from time to time.  My bikinis don't fit the way I would like them to.
There's nothing quite like being held accountable and getting a reward when you hit a certain goal.  Even a little sticker to say well done!  Crazy and childish?  Yes, but it works!

Listening to the other members in the group will help me to help my own clients with their struggles too.

Today, I feel a new me is born.  I'm determined to get off 22lbs by the time I go on holiday next in July. I know I can do that! It's 2 lb a week.  Do-able.  I know HOW to do it.  I am super sure I can keep a focus and even with my scientifically-proven slow metabolism, I will do this!

My own weight loss group online has a competition running if this is something you feel you might like to look into.  10 free places for you and a friend to join for a whole month.  Motivation, tips, tricks and meeting other like minded people! See this link here to enter and for more details.  You can also tag me on twitter  if you aren't a Facebook person!

So, it's the start of a whole new me.  Are you with me?

I was advised not to goto the gym.  I haven't been in so long but this makes my aches worse and also affects my mental health.  So I have decided to start very gently, taking my twins along with me to get over the anxiety I feel.  Brilliant!
Plus, joining another weight loss group.  Plus, I will be doing another Aloe cleanse from tomorrow.  See my details of that here.  I hope to get a really good kick start to my weight loss on my clean 9.  Last time I lost 10 lbs.  In 9 days.  Awesome.

I'm going to work hard at uni, work hard on my anxieties, drink less coffee...all those things we promise ourself and seldom do.

My motivation?  To look like this again in time for the beach!....

With much love from the new me....Louise xoxo

Clean 9 detox - Day 8

April 30th

Day 8

Already day 8.

I’m starting to not want clean 9 to end.  I’m nervous for it to end.  I don’t want to go back to my old ways.

Already, I feel so much smaller and lighter.  2 more full days.

No hunger at all this morning.  It looked like I might run out of shake powder, so I thought I would skip a shake.  Obviously though, some clever folks up at the head office of Forever would have made sure that everything was accurately measured out. I headed off to work having had my Aloe and supplements. I have ordered some more garcinia from Lisa to take away on holiday with me.  That will help.  I really want to get going on the hiking and press ups and the healthy food that the mediteranian brings.

Dropping the children at school, I shot a quick Youtube video and went on my way to work.  My client always offers a brashly brewed coffee. I haven’t seen her for 6 weeks and so she doesn’t know I’ve given up coffee, let alone doing Clean 9.  Instead, she made me delicious, refreshing peppermint tea.  Yum.

Off to the hospital after my lunchtime shake to do a good deed.  The staff all were wishing the day away, hoping to finish soon. This makes me sad.  Fancy feeling like that in a job.  Thing is though, I’m still so passionate about helping people into health through nutrition.  This will never leave me I’m so sure.  It’s sad that people are still suffering with chrons and colitis and having pieces removed from them when really, if they changed their diets they may feel so much better.

My passion is to help others. To advise and nurture.  And this will never leave me.  Maybe now, I have also found an almost magic formula which I truly believe will help the masses. I can see this becoming a staple in everyone’s fridge in the next few years.  Being honest,  there is nothing better than a healthy, balanced diet.  Boy, do I enjoy my healthy evening meal.  Although I feel we all need a little help from time to time.  We certainly need someone to help us and to lean on.  I want that person to be me!

I’ve been asked today to speak again at my University. This time it’s an industry conference for Sports Science professionals.  What an amazing opportunity! As I am a keen speaker, I have been watching presentations on Youtube from Forever Living success stories.  There are truly some wonderful stories on there!

Looking forward to tonights meal.  Salmon steak, pan fried with olive oil fry light, a bed of spinach, or maybe, yes definitely, a load of salad actually.
Raw spinach,
Lettuce,
Cucumber,
Tomato and the smallest slice of mozzarella.

Yum!

Clean 9 detox - day 7

April 29th

Day 7

Upon waking, I didn’t feel the need to eat much.  I felt amazingly light and empty.  With a quiet stomach which was very unusual for me! Couldn’t quite believe it really.  What was this Aloe doing for me?

The lack of sugar and unhealthy, unnatural foods was also responsible of course, yet the idea that on Clean 9 I was loosing so much weight was really quite the ultimate motivator.

Let’s face it, who wants to lose 1/2 a lb per week?  I don’t.  Then again, I don’t want to keep making a massive sacrifice week on week which may seem like a negative way to look at things. To me, making a bigger sacrifice quickly and then just being more careful is a far better way to go.  I’m such a firm believer in the 80/20 rule.

What is the 80/20 rule?

80% of the time you eat healthy, fresh food which you know will benefit your body.  20% of the time you eat food which you know will be seen as  a ‘treat’. This is where your coffee and cake or alcoholic drink comes in.  That’s a great way to live.  Sometimes of course, we all need a little help.  Supplements should ideally not be relied on but we do find we have depleted soil for our vegetables to grow in. You generally know if your body needs help or not.  Don’t you?

I know when I don’t feel right, that’s for sure.

Yet just now, I’m feeling (and looking) so much better and brighter.

For me, I have had a bit of an overwhelming surge of a need to sleep.  I think this is because I have slowed down into the Easter break.  Not going into London gives me the chance to calm my brain down from it’s whirring all the time.  Not only did we change the clocks ready for the summertime, but I was shattered by 8.45pm.  I had to goto bed.

The past few weeks I have been waking at 4am.  This means I have been functioning on about 5 hours sleep.   I knew it would catch up with me.  I thought it would be when I was on holiday.  Didn’t think it would be so soon.  I had an amazingly comfortable sleep for an entire 9 hours! Couldn’t quite believe it when I awoke.

Come back for more tomorrow!

Much love

Clean 9 detox. Day 6 - weigh in day

April 28th

Day 6

Weight 11.11 1/2

So I lost another pound.  Not quite what I was hoping for but nevertheless, 1 lb in 3 days isn’t a bad loss at all.  I am wondering if I should keep those carbs even lower though.  The odd apple here and there, plus the sweet potato.  I always knew these were the things that didn’t agree with me.

Actually, I hadn’t realised I was due for a weigh in.

Feeling the love for my scales I decided to measure instead.  It’s crazy really that I am addicted to getting on those scales. I guess it’s fear of re gaining weight.  Terrible way to look at it though as of course we will all naturally gain and lose weight.  So the measurements were really quite outstanding! I will post those at another time as you will find it hard to believe.  The boobs are getting smaller which I’m so glad about.  So many pretty redundant bra’s sit gloomily in my drawer.  Soon, my friends, soon.

I will do this.  I can do this.  It’s in the bag.  Just watch!

Tonight I’m out on the town.  Happily for my friends I am doing the driving and consuming water.  Exciting eh.  Yes I like the odd glass of spritzer but it’s not a need for me.  I love being out, seeing people, listening to music and all.

This morning sees the welcoming of a brand new carton of Aloe in my fridge.  I finished the last one now.  This is hopefully going to last me until the holiday which is in 6 days time! I can’t quite believe it.  6 days.  I cannot wait! I’m so excited!

Thinking about it…my time of the month is just about starting.  I’m sure when that kicks in it will aid with the weight loss.  Now there’s a cheery thought.  Might sound funny to the men reading but it’s actually a really nice ‘detox’ feeling.

Clean 9 detox day 5

Friday 27th March

Day 5

I’m not even kidding! Oh my goodness!

As I woke this morning I reached down to feel a new body.  Almost shocked into disbelief i rubbed my tummy and it was tighter, firmer,

My supplementes, my shakes, everyhitng made me smile this morning.  I was annoyingly happy.  Wanted to say good mooring to everyone,  in fact the road sweeper guy said good morning to me.  i’m wearing pink for the first time in ages (always in black) and my mood is definitely lifted! I’m so super happy right now!

Clean 9 detox day 4

Thursday 26th March

Day 4

Day 4 already!

Once again, it was hard for me not to weigh in.  The main reason I didn't was that I didn't want the become despondent if there isn't much of a loss.  Poeple obviously look into reasons as to why you should only weigh on these days. So I waited.

Crazy busy day at work ahead, I was worried at how I would juggle everything.

I turned down numerous cups of tea from my customers and instead asked for just hot water.  That sufficed.  It was nice!

My tummy has been quiet and happy with everything I consume on the plan.  Having 2 shakes a day does keep those hungers at bay!

In the evening, we had to pop to the shops.  Well, we didn't have to but i really wanted to make sweet potato fries. I needed a sweet potato.  Organic of course.
We passed costa.  I chanted a football song: “Ohhhh costa I miss you.”

A hot chocolate with cream was definitely still yum in my opinion.  But the way i’m starting to feel is wonderful.

I’ve hurt my elbow and knee (doing too much running up the stairs?) So had to take 4 paracetomol today. I couldn't function without it.  But hey ho….

During the evening, I felt awake, alive and happy.  It was really like a mini miracle was happening!

Clean 9 detox day 3

Wednesday 25th March

Day 3

Weight: 11.12 1/2

OMG!

Gosh!

Great!

So excited! I had lost 3 lbs in 2 days………..perfectly what I was hoping for!

Perfect! I was so excited and happy!

Couldn’t wait to tell Lisa!  I was doing her hair this morning and rather than text her, i would wait to see her.  Dancing around the kitchen, I was getting everything ready for my day.  Getting it clear in my head what I should exactly   be consuming for the day ahead, I made my several bags ready for the day.  One rucksack for Uni.  One handbag for work, my work bags and my tool box for work.  Making a quick video as I shot out the door, I realised I had this really achey elbow!

Dropping off the children at school (with a lack of a wave as it’s too embarrassing) I headed to Lisas house.  I was excited to see her! We would be chatting about all sorts of things health and weight loss.

“I Lost 3 lbs!”
“That’s fantastic! Well done Lou!”

She was thrilled for me.  Also, a little surprised at how “easy’ I was finding it.

Leaving there to get to london was tricky indeed! I had my lunchtime shake on the way as it was 11am and I decided it was easier to leave the cup in the car.  Racing to the station to not miss my train, I soon realised I  was stuck! No trains to London.  Someone was walking up the track! Nightmare.  I had an exam in 90 minutes! Thankfully, long story but I got a lift! Took the exam, made a bit of a silly mistake but then tried to get home.  Trains canceled.  I had to wait another 30 minutes.  I didn’t mind too much although Iit did mean my children had to walk home from school.  I saw lots of other passengers going off to get coffee.  I was tempted, I could smell coffee everywhere.  So I headed to Boots the chemist and looked for the food section.  Would they have any of my ‘free’ food.  I remembered Kiwi was allowed and there was some there chopped up.  Muching that. I loved it.

Tonight is dinner nght.

I cooked lamb leg,  with broccoli and spinach.

It was more than delicious. I shoudl have filmed me salivating over it.  It was just gorgeous!

An early night was needed as I felt a little tired.  Actually fell asleep in front of the TV.  One of my least favourite things. Ever.

Clean 9 detox Day 2

My Forever Living Journey

Get your Clean 9 here

Find out about working with Forever Living here

Tuesday 24th March

Day 2

I felt so ready to get on those scales when I woke up. Daily habits aside, I   instinctively I felt down to touch my tummy which felt more hollow than the day before.  Good! This was working.

Making a little video, I realised how much I was whispering!

I bounced into university with a spring in my step!

My lovely friend who I lunch with realised I wasn’t eating.  I hadn’t known she saw this! Until the late afternoon when my tummy rumbled so loudly during the chemistry class!
“You didn’t eat enough at lunch” She chuckled in her indian accent.

She is also watching her diet.  The canteen has so much junk and rubbish in there which is such a shame.  Espeically seeing as it teaches medicine! Is it so hard to pop an omelette on the menu?  This isn’t somewhere we are choosing to go out and eat, this is our daily lives. So treats should be kept for the former idea! Anyhow, my friend finds these little pots of porridge taste and Oats sure do fill you up. Of course, this is something I can’’t eat due to my coeliac.  I wonder if differenct people from different parts of the world tolerate different things.  I know the middle eastern world has less crohns and colitis.

Speaking of Crohns and Colitis, we have just signed up to get involved int he sponsored walk in London.  IT’s a charity thing we do each year and it’s just fantastic! Such a great sense of community.  Getting together with people with the same condition is super.  I’m double sure I wouldn’t be so well as I am today if it weren’t for that diet change.

So back to my lunch, it was cucumber and apple once again and I did enjoy it. I\’m determined to follow t his plan to the letter and not waiver. This way I can get a real feel of what it’s doing when people ask me. If someone comes to me (me: I can’t lose weight easily) saying they didn’t lose weight, I know that they have cheated/not followed the plan etc.

I felt a little sleepy ont he train on the way home and I think i dozed off for a couple of minutes.  I had walked hard today.  Chasing my fringe up the stairs to and from the underground station. This was my exercise.  Getting home seemed like it was going to be a haven.  Except I still had some work to do.

Eventually, at 9pm I stopped to take a breath. This was all too much today.  Feeling grumpy, I resented the fact that there was so much to do other than focus on my health and its needs.  I wanted to be consumed with the requests of my body.

Missing a dose of the jelly, I took the final 2 shots of the day. To take 4 seemed daft really. I wasn’t hungry at all but really wanted a bath which i couldnt’ be bothered to take, then get to bed.  My little children were always lighting me up for the rest of the day! I love them!

My experience on the Clean 9 detox - Forever Living

After what seems like an eternity of going to networking events and having business cards stuck under my nose from various health and weight loss claimants, I have finally given in to try one.

Networking shouldn't be about forcing your sales on people and it is so super off-putting!  Honestly,  it makes me turn my back with a slight chip on my shoulder.  If you believe in something, you should be a walking example.

I have heard various reports about the claims of Aloe Vera on Crohn's patients and erring on the side of caution, I have only once tried some of the juice from the shops which didn't seem to do a great deal for me.  It wasn't forever though and it was quite a few years ago.

Two friends of mine started to rave about Forever last year.  I trusted them and began to watch what they are doing.  Seemed interesting.  Nice house, cars and lifestyle.  Things were going well for them.  But I was busy.  As we all get.  No time for that.

My good friend Lisa got onboard with the company as a distributor.  She has been very successful in sales all through her career.  However, her tactic (if you call it that) was to tell you things as it is.  If it's not good or right for you, she tells you.  If she thinks something will benefit you,  she will tell you!

As she became a distributor for Forever,  I decided to start taking notice.

After some of my own research, I decided to bravely try an experiment.  Could the Clean 9 detox work for me?

So here it is;  no holds barred.  I reveal everything. Honestly and truthfully.

Over the next few days I will be posting videos and blog posts to show you my experience.

You will also be able to get your own Clean 9 pack (the next 20 sales have 5% off with this link: https://thealoeveraco.shop/ESP1Bd31
and find out about the opportunity of the business here.

Monday 23rd March

Clean 9 day 1

Weight at:  12.1 1/2

That was a shock weigh in.  I’d lost weight over the weekend! Madness.  Must have been all that walking.  Thinking back over it, I guess we hadn’t eaten much really.  Although I drank some wine.  So here I was, at a pretty good starting weight, hoping to be in the 11’s pretty soon!

First thing, there is Aloe Vera gel to drink.  The taste was odd but not revulting.  I also took the Garcinia plus which has crazy amounts of something in it.  This is kind of a supplement.  Also with that, there are tablets called forever therm.  In here there are many B vitamins which strangely is also in Berocca.  That’s known for making you feel good! Interesting.  It also makes you pee a bit yellow so be warned.  You might look and think you are dehydrated as this is a typical symptom of dehydration.  However, worry not.  It’s normal when you are taking B vitamins.  Of course you may be detoxing a bit through your pee too!

There are some things called “free foods” which are foods low in GI.  Glycemic Index.  This is a number given to food to determine the effect it has on your blood sugar.  You may know that peaks and drops in your blood sugars is what can contribute to terrible cravings, eating too much and weight gain.

Preparing my free food box for the day, i had an apple and half a cucumber.  If lunch was provided, I could eat that at my training day.  I also had to take in with me some Aloe gel in an empty water bottle (must be kept cool and out of sunlight) to have at lunchtime.  I would keep a bit of that and add my Fibre sachet, shake it up and drink that! This is designed to help with bowel movements. There would also be more supplements at lunchtime.  These are all labelled up so it’s easy to see what you should be having and when.

The shake should be taken at lunchtime but I wasn’t so sure about doing that so I decided to have it for breakfast.  I had chocolate flavour and I was surpisend at how nice it tasted. The best shake I’ve had in like, forever.

Hungry?  Nope, not at all. Although I had to laugh. We got a long lunchbreak and I had seen my favourite coffee shop just down the road called Costa.  Bravely going in, I ordered my mint tea.  Never ever do I get ‘upsold to’ except today.

“Can I get you anything else?  A Cake maybe”  inwardly I grinned and I just said, “No thank you”

So me, my mint tea and my bag full of secret stash sat in the corner revising chemistry!

The rest of the day was a breeze.  I made some videos to go on my Youtube channel which I decided to share at a later date. These have so much information inside!  Talking of Youtube, I took a massive decision to share my channel on my Facebook page. I haven’t done this at all in the past 4 years.  Fear of judegement.  Yet my friends from the weekend were tagging me in posts and photos and I really didn’t want it to impact me having to hide them away.  So I made an announcement which was very well received! Happy days.

Going to bed, I still wasn’t hungry and I felt little, like so much smaller!

The future seems so bright, bouncy, fluffy and pink.  Happy day today!

Helen's weight loss journey.

Over the past few months, I have made a wonderful new friend called Helen.  She is a blogger, like me, and we are enjoying our time on our collab channel Global Stars.

After reading my book and chatting lots, Helen decided to make some life changes and had an incredible weight loss. She has given me credit for helping her but of course it all comes from within.  Helen is the one who had to make the changes!  She did it with total conviction and really took the bull by the horns.

Read her story below as I interviewed her.  Also find her in the links below:

Twitter

Youtube

Global Stars

What inspired you to start on your weight loss journey?

Mainly my health, I knew being overweight was not good for me but also I was sick of feeling uncomfortable in my clothes and never feeling like I looked 'nice'. Every night out or event was a constant battle to find something to wear that I felt comfortable in and every time I saw photographs of myself afterwards I cringed, yet I was doing nothing about it and just having another bar of chocolate!

How did you begin and when?

I started straight after Christmas! And I decided that I had to cut all chocolate, sweets, crisps, fizzy sugary drinks and takeaways out of my life. Get myself to 3 balanced meals a day, more water and see what happened!

How much weight have you actually lost in total?

31 pounds! So just over two stone. I'm now the ideal weight for my height!

What is the best way to describe what made you want to lose weight?

It was a mixture of health and confidence issues, I just knew enough was enough and I had to change, I wasn't happy or healthy at all! Speaking to Louise who was doing her nutrition degree made me realise just how much what I was eating was effecting not only the way I looked but also my inner well being and mood too.

Do you think it is easy to lose the weight?

In all honesty, it was easier than I thought it would be! I thought it would be impossible and I'd really struggle but I didn't! Once the first bit of weight came off I was motivated to continue and see how much I could shift!

How do you feel physically now that you've slimmed down?

I feel great! I feel really confident in my clothes, I feel great out walking because there's less weight to carry around, I am really glad I did it!

What have you done differently since losing the weight?

I think about what I eat now instead of just eating, I think about how much something will fill me up and the nutritional values of it rather than weather it's quick & convenient like I did before. I plan more and have a general awareness now of what I'm eating and when instead of just eating because I feel like it.

If you were about to have a snack or treat you 'shouldn't have had' how did you stop yourself?

Basically I just thought 'no don't ruin it now' or 'thin people don't eat that' and that was enough to make me step back and not eat it.

Now that you are slimmer how do you think life will change for you?

I think my health will benefit a lot as will my self esteem but also I feel younger, more energetic and better than I have in years!

What advice would you give to others who are trying to lose weight but struggling?

I'd say that if you REALLY want to do it you'll find a way! Don't expect it to be easy but it's honestly not as hard as you think it will be either! It's just a case of not eating something that you know is bad for you, and eating something that is good for you instead! It will all be worthwhile when you slip into your skinny jeans and your tummy is flat believe me!

Any words of encouragement?

I'd say to set yourself manageable goals! go in half a stone stages! Also don't let others derail you by encouraging you to have a McDonald's or a takeaway, be strong and say No! It's called junk food for a reason! You end up looking like junk and feeling like junk if you eat it! And by simply not eating it you can become a slimmer, happier, healthier, more confident you (which lasts a lot longer than the taste of a cheeseburger!)

You look fantastic Helen! Well done and congratulations!!!
