ANFI DEL MAR BEACH, Gran Canaria VLOG

This beach was just the loveliest place ever! After floating in the sea as you can see here, I felt so different.  What happened to me?  Was it the salt water?  Was I grounding?  I'm not sure but I do know I felt so much energy it was amazing.  Hardly ever do i get that level of energy.

Have you been to Gran Canaria?  How did you love it?

Love always

Weekend trip to the sea

I promised you another blog.  This time we went in the opposite direction to the post I showed you yesterday where we went to the park.

Ground ourselves again with the beauty of nature in the form of the beautiful coastline we have here in Kent.  The sea was looking beautiful and honestly, I began to feel like a new person after the wind blew away those proverbial cobwebs.  I will also share some of these photos over on my photography blog too.

Hope you are having a wonderful week and I wish you much love

Louise xoxo

Nature trail walk - grounding

This weekend has been amazing for purposes of getting back to nature and grounding oneself.

While there are always human torments of guilt and pangs of worry as one takes up lots of 'wasted' time with such things; it is necessary.

Feeling stress and the overwhelming sense of doing too much is almost too hard to deal with should you not take those breaks.  I had promised myself this weekend would be full of sorting paperwork and accounts.  Yet,  none of those things have been done.  Instead, I have got into nature and walked a little to feel the love of the beauty that just simply is.

Locally, there is a beautiful park which I went walking in on Saturday.  Sunday saw a day on the coast,  that blog post will be here tomorrow!

Much love

Happy Monday

We have so much to catch up on folks!

Goodness,  just yesterday I realised how far behind I am with literally, like,  everything!

Taking Nathan and his friends to Thorpe Park (theme park) yesterday, I thought I would seize the perfect opportunity for a day with my beloved laptop.  Knowing I had tons of footage to edit for Youtube,  loads of photos to get up on my photography blog and plus getting you all up to date here was nagging at me ever-so-slightly.  Topping this all off, I'm a week behind with my podcasting!

So it began,  my day of editing.  I managed to edit (for 2 hours) then lose my first project! Argh...  thinking I might well need another cup of tea,  a trip to the bathroom and start over again..
Second edit was ok but the wi-fi didn't allow me to upload unless I was prepared to wait 4000 minutes! You get the idea.

Anyhow lots got done yesterday but not as much as I would have liked.  This week,  as I wake at my crazy early hours that I usually wake at, I'm not going to scroll through Facebook, wondering if anyone has something interesting to show me but rather I will be cracking on with topping up my blog!

Here it begins!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our camping trip!

Wow, what a week,  the weather was what we call 'blistering' here in the Uk.  Seems I'm always super lucky with weather when I get away on holidays!  Yet, this is exactly what you need when you are spending a week under canvas.  My lovely friend Lisa admired the way we can be less than clean and tidy for a week.  While it does take some patience, I would rather have that gritty experience and make some awesome memories as we break from the norm!

Have a look at the photos and the descriptions here and if you want to know more about where we stayed,  take a look at the website here: http://www.bodiamboatingstation.co.uk

You can also see my last blog post from the same place.  We do have different shots this time as lots of work has been done on the site which is fab.  Although along with that came the wasps! See about those in this video.

Beautiful river views

I love being close to the water

New cafe/bistro area for the public

My girl, frisbee time

Gorgeous gardens

Kayaking was top of the list for things to do!

Every night a fire pit!

Cheeky bee on a thistle.  Love this photo

Fishing for the boys

Flip flops all week!

The downside.  The wasps.

So you see we can have amazing weather here in the Uk.  We were so lucky! What a lovely place to have a holiday (when you have good weather!).

See my video blog here (you will love it!)

And here's to a week of catching up.  See you tomorrow!

Much love

Louise xoxo

ps, if you know me,  you will know I do love a bit of grass fed beef cooked on an open fire.  This, coupled with sleeping when the sun goes down and waking when it comes up (plus the country air) made me feel so much better! Perfect for those circadian rhythms.

The solar eclipse

As it begins to darken in the Uk, I am noticing everyone still dashing. We all are guilty of continuing our day.
All the while, nature performing miracles.

Never disastrous. Always on point. Always doing what needs doing. Except today is different. Yes, we are all carrying on despite the darkness.

Yet there is a magic in the air.

Something special is happening. Every day a miracle.

We allow everything "up there" to continue to take care of us everyday.

Never do we question that the sun will rise only to set a few hours later.

Enjoy the eclipse my friends.

Winter walk on the beach

An uphill climb sometimes?

Life had been overly busy.

As usual, frantic times were to be had in the Usher household.

Too much to do, not enough time to do it.  The usual kind of thing you would find in any house.  Feeling a little overwhelm and sadness along with a good pinch of resentment coming in; I realised.

It was definitely time.

Time to get out in nature and blow away the cobwebs.  I didn't seem to mind that it was the middle of winter.  Nor did it matter to me that it might be amazingly cold on the beach.

Pulling up the handbrake of the car, tired eyes grew wide as we looked down to the beach below.  Tidal seas had taken the water far away from the beach, leaving playful rock pools to explore and just the right amount of depth for small furry paws to dip.

The beach was going to host us on this day and that was that!

The brightest of blue skies

Harley was keen to come and get his feet wet and  a coat full of sand.  That was just fine.  We all needed our legs stretched and i had decided we would make it a very long walk!

Small paw prints on the golden sand.

Margate Clock tower.

Sun blazing, the sky was as blue as the equatic skies.  Lucky with the warmth, we could not quite fathom the weather.  This was February.  The time of year when spring begins but to have felt the warmth on our skin was amazing.

Aching feet but happy souls, we walked several miles.  Even Harleys little legs.

Just what the universe needed us to do.  Get grounded.  Be in the nature.

Without taking time to stock, things can go bang.

Until the next bit of pressure of time, or unpleasantness that can so often be coupled with human beings, I was in a state of calm.  The natural surroundings of our local beach in Kent had healed once again.

I love this place.  Goodness does it know how to talk nicely to people.

Wordless.

Just its energy.  It's feeling.

Thank you, nature.

Our New Year walk

So often it's good to forget what you 'should' be doing and just down tools and get to doing it!

I'm not kidding you, we dressed up today in warm clothes and took to a very busy park to enjoy looking at the trees, the nature, the blue sky.  Blowing away the cobwebs.  I loved it.  Was amazing.

What have you done recently to ground yourself?  It's been a busy time of year for you, I know.  So if you didn't stop just yet, imagine, and use the art of visualisation to take you to a place where we went today.  Then, it's your turn.

Remember: Thoughts become things!!!

What I did this weekend

Weekend blog

So this past week has been crazy busy with lots of life changes happening.  I was becoming increasingly aware that I needed To catch up on lots of work while sitting at my desk.

Saturday afternoon had been so quiet in my household which was very unusual.  To continue this trend through into Sunday didn't seem right somehow.  The late autumn sunshine was peeping through changing leaves and I had a burning desire to get out into the countryside with my faithful shuhtzu Harley dog.

Thankfully, my children were happy to join me too as we took off into the countryside.  We live in a beautiful part of Kent which looks particulatly lovely at this time of year.  Once the leaves begin to change colour even more, I have no doubt I will be out taking photos of them.

Meanwhile, here are a few I took last Sunday.  Hope you enjoy them.

Feel free to let me know what you have been up to.

Then Monday morning showed me this beautiful sunrise
