Exciting news today in my Publishing house! 📖

The book cover design will be completed today! 📚
My hairy editor friend and I (anyone else needing a hair cut or just Harley?) have been working since dawn to figure what’s next. We want you all to know about this book and how exciting it’s going to be!

Maybe I’ll do a few videos on stories and some lives to give you some more info and see if it’s for you! Suggestions and questions welcome. 🖊🤍📖

Sacking the pseudonym

You might know by now, I'm a writer.  Full time.

Blessed indeed.

I love it.

This past weekend I was on a writers workshop which is part of my Creative writing MA Post grad degree.  The inspiration in the room was something else.   Like minded writers all following dreams within the room as sunshine streamed through the windows.  We didn't mind at all that we were missing the nice February weather outside.  Our muse kept us glued to our seats.

Writing creative non-fiction was always the plan.  Weaving some science and nutrition through my words in order to help spread the word of chronic disease and lifestyle choices.  As time has gone on, I have realised more and more I totally adore writing stories to the point that these stories have to be written and shared.  Yep! No choice.

Fiction poured out of me as I began to plan the next part in my novella Delayed.  I love this story and the twists and turns it took as I started to draft an outline was both exciting and a little thought provoking.
One of our exercises was also to rewrite little Red Riding hood. Which was incredible.  The story took so many crazy forms around the room and I LOVED it.  So, fiction needs to be a part of my life, I knew this with certainty.

Over on Instagram and my other website, I have embraced a pseudonym (Faraday Wren) to write the fiction under. Yet now I feel I am way more likely to be writing creatively rather than scientifically and I am going to just simply write it all as Louise Usher and forget the pen name.  Of course I will weave science and health throughout my writing but primarily, it is time to live the dream and write stories.  Some true, some less so, some completely factual.

The future feels so exciting to me and I became really overwhelmed this Monday when i filmed my Motivational Monday video. It is crazy how excited I am to be writing my stories and I completely love the writing process.  Check out the video here and also go see the Faraday website while it is still live.  I will be bringing the blogs over here really soon.

December 3,4,5th (?) #Vlogmas for the past 3 years

So I already lost track of what I am doing this Vlogmas so thank goodness I am not filming and editing Vlogmas for my Youtube channel.  Imagine?! I crave the day when I can VLOG and Blog to my hearts content. Will this happen next year at Christmas?  Could I possibly plan days of going out filming and finding things with amazing content to create beautiful cinematic videos to show you?

That depends so much on you guys enjoying what I'm sharing and you further sharing with your people too!
Many of you are asking me to share the secrets for making an online business and this will be coming next January for sure. Little snippets through the latter part of the winter and into spring then let's do lots more of that as we head into summer?  If that's something you would like to know more about please do come on down into the comments box and tell me. Knowing lots of you are shy philanthropists, of course I will respond to those inbox messages too! Let me know what you would like to see.

So here are the videos I have brought out of the cupboard from dusty youtube to show you today.  I particularly love the one where we are at Greenwich watching the choir. I'm thinking back over that memory with great fondness.  We have tickets to go tonight too but mum isn't well enough and neither is she happy to be left so I'm here, working on a case study project, about to diagnose a small boy with iron deficiency anaemia.

Can't wait to begin to focus on Christmas.

How is your Christmas going?

One more week of Camp NanoWriMo

Who's writing?

Are you doing Camp NanoWriMo?  Well, I am and loving it.  My story is taking twists and turns that I definitely didn't expect to happen! The romance is just about to begin to bloom between the two main characters Liv and Thomas. I can't wait to see what starts to happen!

Previously, I never quite understood novelists who explained how the story was just happening as if it was out of their control.  Yet something seems to happen when you get in the flow and it's like the story takes on a mind of its own!

Today I shall be writing more and I will smash my word count that I set for NaNoWriMo of 10,000.  The story needs to be much longer but knowing I have at least hit those 10,000 words takes the pressure off.

My main surprise has been how I have found a lack of motivation!!! Gosh, what's that all about?  I used to sit in judgement with authors who complained about this issue.  I was always dreaming of the chance to sit at my desk and write, write, write.  Although I have now found ways that work for me, doing the one thing I dreamed of could get a little monotonous.  Instead I move around a lot with the laptop,  write with a pen sometimes in my ideas book,  interact with other members of Camp NanoWrimo.

I'm not sure when the book is likely to get released.  I have realised the best thing to do is get the story down.  Edit later.  Lots of spelling, typing, grammatical errors that need sorting.  During camp, it is the writing of the first draught which counts.  Editing can come along later.  I'm very excited to finish my word count today and see how many more words flow.

Loving my writing! I can't wait to share this love story with you!

Come back soon for more updates on the story and some exciting news about my podcast!

Much love as always

Louise xoxo

Ever thought about writing a book? Plus a giveaway!

My amazon page makes me really proud of myself.

Now tell me,  have you ever dreamed of getting your book in print?  Something about print isn't there?

Imagine:

* Standing there with a big wide grin with your book in your hand

* Getting your pen and signing a copy of your book

* A queue of people waiting for you to sign your book

Wow what a thought.  Do you have an idea for a book?  A nugget of an idea?

What are you waiting for my friend?

What is stopping you from doing exactly what I have done?  Publish your book.

It really can be your dream come true.  It's not rocket science.

Many authors think it's really lame to publish a book of......guess what I'm going to say??...

For one minute,  try to think of something you already have in your resources that you could turn into a product that could make you money online?
What is there that you already have in your head or online or in your computer memory that you could publish or record or put into a digital product?

Your blog!

Why not?

Because some best selling authors don't do it that way?  Well you can if you want to.  Get your collection of blogs together,  pop them on a pdf file and upload to Amazon.  Easy peasy.

Ok, so it's not quite so easy and if you would like another more technical blog finding out how please let me know and I will post one.  Think about this,  the likes of http://sprinkleofglitter.blogspot.co.uk and her very good friend http://www.zoella.co.uk who both have a huge following!  Imagine if only a fraction of their followers bought their book,  frankly they could still make a mint.

How much can you make?

My books on Amazon right now are low price and little mini books that you can read in a couple of lunchtimes.  I make just under £1 per purchase.  So think,  how many followers do you have right now?  What if half of them bought?

How much would you make?

Your followers are also likely to re-read your published blogs next to each other and get a brand new affection for your blog and start their love affair all over again.  What if - they passed your book onto a friend - you would gain more followers.

Soon enough you are right up their with Sprinkle and Zoe too......

My book listed on Amazon started out as a practise run for the long book I'm writing called - "IVF - Happiness in Vitro?" all about my IVF journey.

However,  The basics to the Law of attraction has caused quite a stir in changing peoples lives so much so that I'm proud to be giving a copy away.

If you would like to be in with a chance for this giveaway,  you can be anywhere in the world... you need to be a Lusher Life blog follower and please follow me on as many of the other platforms as you feel you would like to and share this post.  Let me know in the comments below where you've followed and shared.  One entry for every single thing you've done!
