How do you know if this is the right job for you?

Just occasionally, we get this feeling where we feel a little,
“Ugh, I really don’t want to do that/can’t be bothered”

Then other times we feel,
“OH goodness this is incredible, I could do this all day/totally loving this”

So how do you know well enough to recognize these things?  I addressed that in todays Motivational Monday video.

Last week I was working on some exciting things.  Two of them left my stomach lurching and I knew I didn’t want to progress with this. One other project got me so so excited and I was totally buzzing with the progression of the work.

How do you know?

1.     Tap into how it is making you think as you begin to talk about it or think about it.
2.     Does the conversation in your head have you thinking you are less than keen?
3.     Is there a kind of lurching in your stomach at the thought of carrying through this task or job?
4.     Do you feel more than excited at the prospect of this ‘thing’ coming into fruition
5.     Are you giving this project your all?

Does this make sense to you are resonate? Perhaps you literally needed it spelt out and are now nodding along thinking ‘ahh yes’

My belief is these things are important in the big scheme of life. Contributing to your health and wellness as well as life excitements.

As always, much love

Louise xoxo

Give up the negative story and step into your new life.

Brendon Burchard.  A genius in my eyes.  He has 'a way' about him which is quite incredible.  Explaining how we can create a better life for ourselves in one way or another. Carving something good out of the inevitable bad which happens to us along the way.  Something I strive to do each day and yet something about his words seem to have helped make some sense of what I might need to do to enable this to happen.

Listening to Audible, the High Performance Habits audio book by Brendon was quite life altering.  After many hours of having him as my companion while I drive around, being busy about my day, things began to come very clear indeed.  No less the fact that I have been telling myself (not so much other people but definitely myself) my negative story.  This needs to be let go. Always, there are others who can top my story. Always, there will be reasons in which I can use this as a block to stop me from living the fulfilling life I wish to live.
You see there is so much I write on my list of 'to do's' and not enough of the actual doing in order to get this all done.  This is a flaw of mine.  I know exactly what's stopping me too.  I'm worried.  Of not earning the money.  Of not being a success while I actually get there.  Yet all the while, the worry is only disabling me from that actual doing-ness of getting things done in order to succeed and know the worry was for nothing.

More than this, I worry that I will never fulfil my dreams, my purpose.

Trying to explain this in a Motivational Monday video today was a bit gobbledegook.
Why don't those words flow as I want them to when I know exactly through my own errors in ways how I want to help others to stop making the same mistake.

In a nutshell, we all have negative stories and things that make us feel really sad or blue or use as a reason not to do 'the thing' that we really want to be doing.  Reaching out to others in this situation is frequently an absolute necessity. Preventing depression and mental health issues must be a total priority. Yes, of course.  Yet to tell the same story over and over won't change it's history but you could try and decided to at least TRY and park it somewhere while you get on with the thing you really want to be doing and finally decide it's not going to be your demon any longer, ruling you against your dreams.

You got this!

Buying my Law of attraction car

This stuff really does work.

When I first discovered the law of attraction in 2009 I was blown away.

Testing my beliefs to the max, I decided to go and have a look in the local VW garage at a car which cost more than I could have ever imagined spending back then.  It all felt like a game.  A bit of a dream.

Actually, I came away with a VW golf - not the car i was looking at - much as I loved it, I felt the repayments and the petrol were too much for me and 2 years in I went and downgraded to something slightly smaller.  My belief system and 'poor mans thinking' had me a little stuck.

Recently, as you may know, I have been taking care of a poorly mum.  We generally use the wheelchair if we are going any sort of distance.  So the Polo is just a tad too small when we are trying to get luggage and wheelchair in the boot.  So guess what?  Yep, I went back to that original car from 2009 and bought that model.  Not the exact car of course but a newer one.  I love it.

Small things and large things happen.  In my next blog I will tell you about the recent trip to Whitstable and how the coffee shop owner manifested two white terrier dogs visiting the place!

Keep those beliefs..

Do you rely on someone else to deliver your happiness?

Good day! I am super excited to instantly share this video with you.

Feeling  a need for some inspiration, I typed into YouTube "Abraham Hicks" to see what was delivered.  I am a firm believer in getting the right message at the right time!  The video that was delivered re-affirmed something within me that I am so strong at and wanted to share the message out there in case this is something you need to hear too.

In a nutshell, if you are waiting for someone to please you, give their attention to you, make you happy, then you are looking in the wrong place.  Only you can give yourself the permission to be happy.  Are you with a partner who won't take you out?  Don't sit thinking sadly about it, take yourself out.  Make new friends to go out with............ these are the very basics of Abrahams teachings, but as always, it's put much better from them!

If you aren't aware of Abraham, I suggest you download this book!  IT is a life changer!

Meanwhile, here is the video!

Where have I been?

Ahh the beauty of not having sponsorship on my blog is; I can write what I want, when I want.

Although when I'm absent I really miss it. As I LOVE writing my blog! Beyond belief.

Right now there's lots and lots of life stuff going on. Do you know the sort? The type of stuff you can only share after it's over.

So, forgive my absence. In fact, I'm not going to be absent but instead I'll be sharing some of my favourite photos with you. Starting with this lovely bunch of roses I bought myself yesterday in the florist bargain bucket for £1. Oh the joy of flowers

You'd think I'd be pretty 'sorted'!

Gee Whizz!!!

I'm a coach for goodness sake - you'd think I'd have everything totally sorted.

Life should be a breeze.

Little boxes everywhere for the assortment of 'stuff'

Lists and more lists showing me the path to what I need to do each day.

Sadly,  not,  I'm just human like everyone else.  Though it's quite nice that way.  I might have the answers how to help others but at times,  human ego and life takes over.  Which leaves room for surprises and ups and downs.

Abraham hicks talks about living life 'downstream'. Imagine that.  If you are constantly trying to swim up stream against the tide,  frankly it's blinking hard work isn't it!!

Turn around and 'go with the flow' and voila....easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Abraham Hicks also talks about how life can be 'blah' at times.  The reason isn't necessarily because you are missing the gratitude link,  but rather more because you slightly expect life to be super amazing.

There is a story of a man who was held captive in a prisoner of war camp.  Yet,  every day when he was handed his cup of 'soup' with a dead fish head in it for flavour,  he remembered to say thank you as this is what was keeping him alive.

Keep it general,  they say.  When you have nothing to be thankful for,  be thankful for general stuff like

*You heart beating
*Breathing
*Air
*You pillow

When you reach the top of the mountain it can be one heck of a view but as humans,  it's the getting to the top which drives us.

This gentleman was happy with his lot but felt 'blah'.  Abraham hicks asked him to imagine having no bed that night,  no wife to go home to,  no transport etc etc etc..   You get the jist.

After working on this,  the man could see his amazing life through renewed eyes and life was amazing once again!

Blogging all about YOU

Hey there my blog friends

Today,  I received an email from a lady who is a coach like myself.  She was cleverly referring to blog posts.

In her opinion,  it would be foolish to write a blog post all about ones self because readers would 'switch off' and never become clients.  Ahh.... this is assuming you need to convert this into a 'lead' and make a sale of the type where you end up coaching your client.

Now,  I'm not disagreeing with this notion but obviously there are many different types of blogs and these days we seem to be interested in other peoples lives.  I certainly am that's for sure.  I'm a little bit nosey {Smile}

My interest was reignited in my blogger account when I saw many bloggers are kind of diarising their day through words and photos.  I love this.  Hang on,  I LOVE this.  Realising that many of us are of the same opinion,  I took the brave choice to put my life into published words.  I was hoping to do this anyway through my forthcoming books.

Happiness in Vitro - Louise Usher

I'm big enough to claim to be an expert in my day job of coaching others in both business and personal life.  Which means I also must be 'big' enough to admit there is loads for me to learn on the blogging and general publishing platform.

Marketing,  affiliate links,  sponsorship, Youtube and adsense accounts are all beginning to show signs of adding to the income needed to start doing more and more of my passion which is writing.  Excellent news!

For ages I stumbled upon opening up on a blog and to be honest,  I still keep my wordpress account going which is often less personal and may use this for blogging to business owners too.  Much is duplicated onto here but I'm loving my new blogger friends who bravely share their lives too.

So tell me,  when you blog,  do you write from the heart,  sharing about yourself?

Or do you consider the reader at all times?  Making sure they are 'gaining' something from your reading?

Engaging your audience is great but I'm such a believer that there is a place in the market for being nosey and looking at other people's wedding photos and hearing about love stories.... look at "Bridget Jones" and "Adrian Mole"........huge,  HUGE stories.

So here I go too.....I"m interested to know what makes you write? Also,  do you constantly write in your own head?  Wishing your fingertips just simply 'grew' a laptop so you could strike while the iron is hot?

Let me know below.... cos I'm nosey..

Love from Journal Girl....x

Abraham Hicks - Never talk about that issue ever again!

Have you ever heard of Abraham Hicks?

There is a wonderful lady called Esther Hicks.  One day while she was meditating,  she felt she was being 'channeled' via a non physical force.  She calls this collective "Abraham".

Esther now holds seminars and writes books sharing these teachings.  Lots of focus on the Law of Attraction,  positivity and creating your own reality via using these methods she speaks of such as "getting into the vortex".

What does this mean to me?  Well,  my life has totally changed!  Realising as I did that there was such a thing as an 'aha' moment was truly an 'aha' moment in itself.
Reading Esther Hicks book which you can find here:

......I was on a very long drive back from the Far north of Scotland (possibly a place from which I got in the vortex?)......needless to say but possibly funny, I was the passenger not the driver.  I got my nose stuck into this book for the entire 12 hours.  As I read part of the book which said......"You will never get it all done".........."You can never get it wrong"........... I was beginning to switch a switch in my head which showed me that I had been far too hard on myself throughout my life.

Ok so hang on a minute.......what is this life all about? If not to toil and work really hard just to simply try and get by then what?

What?

I was only confused for a short time until I realised I was about to read the most significant sentance of my life.........

"The meaning of life is JOY!"

Thank you Abraham.
