Anyway, I am excited to tell you after many technical difficulties I have uploaded my next Podcast! There's loads of gossip type news on there of updates on things we have done, plus in the second half I tell you my latest updates on my Autoimmune Illness. Plus, if you are a sufferer too, I can show you 3 easy steps in how to recover on one of those 'emergency' days.
I had one of these last week which was a shock to the system after being well for so long!
I would love you to subscribe to my podcast and follow my updates. The aim is to help at least one person to feel better by sharing my stories of what worked well for me.
Wishing you a wonderful day of health and as always, much love
I am so very excited to share with you a link to my new blog! As I told you previously, I was in the process of writing and setting up this brand new blog and I'm astonished and overwhelmed at the page views it's getting already, with simply one post on it! Gracious me! So, even at this time of year when most of the bikini body workouts are done and people start to think more about health in September (after the summer) there is still an audience for this stuff! The type of thing I will be posting on the blog are recipes, videos and lots of health and nutrition advice. A way of helping to to regain better health through food choices. Diets are fast becoming unfashionable as more and more folks realise that it's all about eating a balanced diet. Not a one size fits all type of thing but rather listening to your body and tailoring what you eat with what suits you. So go over and take a look at the new blog by clicking here!
And if you are keen to find out more about getting some personal coaching from me then see this page.
Want to advertise your own blog on there? No problem. See the ad page.
Look me up on twitter, Facebook and instagram and let's connect! I love sharing stuff with you guys and knowing my readers have awesome profiles too!
Looking forward to keeping you all up to date with the latest news! Take care and let me know how your week is going.
So the big news is out. So sad for Sam from Towie. Did you see last nights episode? Poor Sam finally let us know what the 'being ill' in the Big Brother house was all about. She has been diagnosed with Crohns disease. Another one of us. Just like me. I cried, actually. Why? Because my little girl was watching it with me. Trying to always stay positive and upbeat I do manage my illness quite well through diet (thank goodness) and I'm able to get through most days without complaining about my illness. As my princess asked, "Why are they crying like that Mummy?" I took a deep breath and said, "Sometimes, sweetheart it can be quite a nasty illness until you get as well as mummy has." Although in truth, it brought the severity of the situation home. I was sad for me. This is not the life I had planned for myself and I am so lucky that I am as well as I am (some folks really struggle constantly). Reassuringly thankful for my health, I must make it look easy. Watching Sam on Towie last night took me straight back to my diagnosis. Now, of course, over the internet sufferers of IBD are slating how little information was passed over on This Morning (link within) . They like to scream out how much pain they are in, how much surgery they have had, how limiting this illness can make your life. Of course they would feel like that but I think This morning have done a great job of bringing the basics to the public eye here. Sam, Dr Chris and the This Morning team have given Crohns some much needed media attention. Let's look on the brighter side! There are amazing organisations out there who can help. There is funding for new bedding and such. There are buddy schemes. The NHS really look after me in my local hospital and I'm seen every 3 months for blood tests and check overs. Such organisations as the NACC (Now named Crohns and Colitis UK) do some really great fund raising. Every year we have a London walk which my family all go along to in our NACC t shirts and raise a bit of money for the charity. Having issues which mean you sometimes need to use the toilet in a hurry can be problematic for sufferers. The NACC give you a "can't wait" card when you become a member. This helps you Que jump if you need to! Very handy for trying to get on with life.
Being honest, there is so much information for you to know if you think you may have some symptoms the same as Sams. Best you look on the website link above for the expert advice as there is so much to learn. Get to see your GP asap too for tests and a diagnosis.
For me, I adapted immediately to a special diet called the Specific Carbohydrate diet. Many doctors (including my own) say there is no linked evidence to diet and the disease. Yet it's a digestive tract - duh! Surely there is. My research agrees with me. Within 3 weeks of the above diet, my symptoms had decreased and they had been talking surgery with me. So I was very lucky to be so scared into motivation that I was an angel and 100% played along with the diet.
If you have any sort of tummy issues at all - even simple bloating - I would urge you to try the diet. Here's a link for you.
Without even trying this diet (a natural way to get better!) then you will never know how well you can be. I'd never realised that I'd been feeling rough all my life until I tried this. I've advised so many others to get on it and they were always glad of that advice! So good luck Sam on your recovery - still looking gorgeous - and keep smiling sweetheart! Much love to you all as always Louise xoxoxox
It's a real minefield isn't it! So many different diets out there on the market, of course always with skinny gorgeous models to promote them who never demonstrate that they may break out in a sweat and work out really hard at the gym too…… What are you to do? How do you know what works for you and what doesn't before you invest time and money in the said diet. Over the next few blogs I will review my knowledge of the 'diets' listed below for you so you can have a think about what might work for you. They are all so different aren't they! Personally, my favourite is Atkins, or general Low carb diets. They seem to be the ones that have the greatest chance of fitting into your every day life for longevity and also a really good weight loss can be achieved from them too. It's a tricky one for vegetarians really unless you like an awful lot of green vegetables. I guess you'd be hungry without the meat based protein. My opinion is that we should all do well cutting down on some sugars! I get a little frustrated at the low fat diets. I know we shouldn't eat loads of bad fats but we still need the good fats. It can get complicated but the good fats help lower the bad cholesterol. Sugar however, has no good properties pretty much whatsoever. So here you will find a list of books in relation to the most popular diets. Click the links to download. This diet you will feast for 5 days, fast for 2 days
Famous Atkins Low carb diet, gets your body into Ketosis which burns your fat stores fast
The ever famous Weight watchers cook book. This diet works on points values, based on calories and low fat
Are you a slimming world member? This book is great for you!
One of my personal favourites for anyone who has difficulty with any tummy issues. If your stomach grumbles a lot and you suffer wind, pain, toilet troubles and have difficulty losing weight this could be your answer. Great for intestinal issues and those unable to tolerate poly saccharides and di sacchirides
Ketostix are great to see if you are in ketosis or not and if you are, by how far. These are for low carb diets. Basically, you pee on them and wait for colour change
No experience of this diet but a few of my clients like this plan
A client of mine lost weight slowly but surely on this diet. She looks fab and is over 60 too.
Now this idea I LOVE! It's also known as the blood group type diet! It works for me.

You are often found saying 'just one then, go on...' or, 'well I can be good again tomorrow'... and very very very slowly a few pounds go on here and there and you then look at a photograph or try to put on that outfit or even worse look in the mirror with total shock and horror: "How the heck did I get like this?!!!" I'm a girl with a Crohns disease diagnosis. As well as Coeliac (celiac) disease. What's that all about anyway. I've a long story about the diagnosis and symptoms of this I will pop at the end. In this photo, I was at my healthiest ever in my life. Ever. I felt great. This was last year. Life was pretty sorted really and I actually control my disease through diet. However, if you don't get the sleep you need you can get something called Adrenal Fatigue which can pop your remission on the back burner. What is Crohns? It's an inflammatory disease of the digestive tract. So basically from where your food goes in to where your food goes out can have a problem. Since I was tiny I've had this issue and I know that talking about it highlights the problem and using Law of Attraction it helps bring the problem back. So I tend not to talk about it but it's kind of relevant to this blog and my current story. Since I found out that I'm going to start a new life with my gorgeous fiance Mo, I have only been able to sleep for a maximum of 5 hours sleep each night. Often 3-4 hours. Then 'bing' I'm awake. Coupled with maybe less consistent eating habits than I should have. And Excitement! Oh Excitment how I love you! Honestly, I'm maybe a bit of an adrenaline junkie. Without the 'looking forward to it' feeling of something in the future I find life is really quite Blah.. So having such a big thing as this is brilliant. Not having seen Mo for 5 months has been so hard. Before that it was just a few weeks and we spent 6 months apart last year too. Knowing we will be together each day is amazing for me. I'm totally hyped up about it. With the Crohns, it can play with your body weight. I have a couple extra pounds on right now so I'm ok. I am unlikely to ever look too skinny as I always carry hips and bum but i have drifted down to 7.5 stone in the past. Food allergies do one of 2 things: *Make you skinny *Make you fat. I've been both. It makes life in the wardrobe department a little tricky! But right now I'm happy that these pounds are falling off. My stomach growls like the M25 motorway every time I eat right now and it's a problem. No morning coffee for me. Mint tea all the way! I'm very lucky that I found a diet called the Specific Carbohydrate Diet and following this really works. I would recommend this to you if you have IBS, IBD or any linked digestive issues. I will post a detailed blog about this but show me some love right now. Having exciting energy can upset the system but it's all good. I love feeling excited and I cant wait until Mo comes. 7 more sleeps!
